MITCHELSTOWN GAA NOTES
ALL ROADS LEAD TO MACROOM
Mitchelstown play Macroom in the 2nd round of the County IFC on Saturday the 24th of June it will be 9 Weeks since our opening game v Kanturk while our form has been sketchy in the league since the Kanturk game the preparation and form of the team has improved in the last couple of weeks with a good win in the league v Ballydesmond and a good challenge outing v Rockchapel with good scores been put up while we have a few injury doubts there is still a strong panel to choose from the opposition Adrigoole will be no push over they ran Rockchapel very close in the opening round eventually losing by 2 points to last years county finalists but with a good performance hopefully they will advance to the next round of the championship all support welcome.
CUL CAMP
The Cul Camp will run from Tuesday the 4th to Friday 7th of July at Limerick Road Pitch and everyone is looking forward to a brilliant week of fun and games more details on Mitchelstown and Ballygiblin Juvenile notes
GOLF CLASSIC
The Club will host the 2nd Mick Lewis Golf Classic at Mitchelstown Golf Club on Thursday 29th and Friday 30th of June more details in next weeks notes
STRICTLY COME DANCING
Mitchelstown GAA IN conjunction with Mitchelstown Musical Society will be hosting a spectacular Strictly Come Dancing Show in the Firgrove Hotel, Mitchelstown on Saturday 14th of October 2017 at 8pm.There will be approximately forty dancers performing on the nite in what promises to be a highly entertaining event. All monies raised will be ploughed back in to the local community as the GAA are installing a new floodlighting system at their groundson Limerick Road and the Musical Society helping to finance next years production which will take place in February Each dancer is asked to secure personal sponsorship of 150 this sponser will be featured in the event programme beside their dancer and will have the oppurtunityto have their advertisement displayed on the big screens at various stages during the night the dancers will also be given voting cards to help them gain votes with each vote costing 2 euro or 3 votes for 5 euro.All votes that are sold will be addedto your total on the night. It is completely up to you as an individual whether you want to get votes or not keeping in mind that ther are actually two competitions running on the night,the first for whom the judges deem to be the best dance couple and a second for the couple who raises the most money but remember the same couple canot win both prizes.
